Little Helper

Brayden is such a big helper!

The other day, I was sitting down and he brought me a shoe to put on (a Keen sandal). He tapped on my leg until I lifted my foot up and then slid the shoe right underneath my foot and grunted and worked and grunted until I got my foot in. Then he went back to the closet and brought me a shoe for my other foot. Once again he tapped my leg until I raised my foot and he helped me put the shoe on. This time it was a three inch heel. At least it was the left shoe!

He also helps unload the dishwasher. We open the tupperware drawer and and then hand him all of the plastic stuff, which he takes over and dumps into the drawer (sometimes he gets out something clean and wants to put that in the dishwasher). After all of the knives and forks are out, then Brayden hands us the spoons, and we put them in the drawer.

He also LOVES to sweep. He doesn't usually get any of the dirt up, but it is pretty cute to watch him dance with the broom. I hope he is always this happy to do his chores!!

He has also really been loving up on Peanut. And to her credit, she has been taking it. That includes the occasional whack that sends Brayden to the time out chair, where he sits and grins at me and tries to beguile his way out of it. But most of the time, he just loves relaxing on the dog bed with her.

Home

We had a really busy week. It started out with Daddy's birthday, and ended up with our entire family finally being together in one place. Let me just walk you through it with some pictures.

Did you know you can make cupcakes in a toaster oven? You can. But you don't have to, if you have fairy godmothers like we do, who are sending us a NEW OVEN for our birthdays!!!!!!!

Then, Saturday, was pasture day and we got another surprise. Danielle and Nick and Deandra all came together around this one. At first, Danielle tried to make me think my girl had shrunk!

But there is a mini horse in there!

This is Buella, the miniture horse. We call her Belly for short.

She's about knee high to a grasshopper.

Brayden LOVES her (and Bailey-he keeps making his horsey noise).

Grizzly can't figure out why she keeps kicking him; she might stop if he quit trying to wrestle her.

Theres my mustang!

Welcome Home! We have been waiting for you!

These pictures don't really do it justice, but there was a lot of hard work going on around here!
It was lots of hard work, but there was still some fun to be had.

We want Gage to move in with us!

When will he be old enough to babysit/cousin sit? :)

Finally, we ended our week with our entire family is together. It took almost one year exactly!
Brayden, Jeremiah, Peanut (a.k.a. Walnut), Grizzly, Bailey and our newest member, Belly. I was so happy, I would send this out as a Christmas card, if we weren't going to have another family member around December 1st (think two legged).

Well, we'll just let Brayden tell you.

And This...

This is what Brayden made for me, for Mother's Day, at day care.

It's a blue, finger painted flower, with a card attached.

I melted into a puddle on the floor when I read it.
It's in a vase next to the flowers that celebrated my birthday.
Daycare is quickly gaining a top place in my heart.
Especially Ms. Natalie, Ms. Krista and Ms. Angela, who
Brayden hugs and is excited to see three days a week.

And this is the last cake we will ever bake in our oven. Now that it only heats up to 90 degrees, we are going to have to find someplace else to make Daddy's birthday cake.
But he's only turning 29, so it will be okay. :)

And this is home made whipped cream.
We don't need an oven for this, so there will probably be more of this.

And this, this is why...

we only have spaghetti on bath night!

And this is just a cute butt picture, because we haven't had one in a while. :)

See ya!
