At 9 Months

At 9 months, baby girl can say "mama".

She can say "hi".

And her newest word is "key key" for kitty.  She loves Peanut and the best part is Key Key loves her too!  :)

Brayden and Jack's letters to Santa

This year, Santa sent Brayden and Jack both messages through my email!
He told them that they had both made the NICE LIST!
The boys were thrilled to hear Santa use their names, nodding along in wide eyed wonder as he spoke about all of the wonderful things they have done and accomplished this year, including being such good brothers to their new baby sister.  Their beautiful little eyes were shining and their sweet faces full of wonder.

Their little hearts were motivated to make Santa a message too.  Brayden even gave me specific directions on how to send it through the computer.

This is what their very first letters to Santa looked like and what they said:

Jack's letter says:  "Dear Santa;  Thank you for the present.  Love, Jack"

This is Brayden's letter.

Charlotte's Milestones

I keep forgetting to write down Charlotte's milestones, and if I don't do it soon, she and I will both be kicking me later when I have no recollection of them.

She started crawling one day after her 7 month birthday.
At just about her 5 month birthday, she was completely mobile with a fierce army crawl.
At 8 months, she is holding onto furniture and standing and taking a few timid steps.

Her first teeth, the bottom two came at 7 months.
We celebrated with buttered acorn squash.
There was no food before teeth. :)

She said "Mama" and meant it at 7 months, too.
We are working on "Dada".

At her only 2 well child checks, she has been in the 97th and then 90th percentiles for length.
She was in the 30th percentile for weight.

Her first monumental giggle came at 6 months.
We are still hard pressed to get one out of her but usually it happens when we tickle her ribs.
She also throws little mini adorable fits when we put her in her crib before a nap.  Then she gets her chubby little thumb into her mouth, closes her eyes and falls asleep. It's pretty dang funny.
Sigh.  We love her.
