Uncomplicated Life

Brayden and Jack were the Wild Kratts for Halloween this year. It nearly killed me, but I sewed them their costumes. And it was worth every cuss and curse word when Brayden put his on, put his hand on the middle dot, closed his eyes and whispered "Creature Power!" Then he slowly opened his eyes, looked around and said "I didn't change into anything!"

Charlotte and Molly Topel-the babies of the neighborhood...for a few more months, anyway!

Ah! They must have looked good. He made me such a happy mama! And they were happy with their costumes. They have worn them for weeks!

October

The boys love to help with Charlotte's bath (which tends to dramatically shorten my patience). So this time, when Jack asked if he could take a bath with Charlotte, I just threw him in with her.

Turns out, you can fit all three Suggs kids in the tub at once!

He started helping me process tomatoes. And he is really, truly a big help. He washes the tomatoes and cuts the X in the bottom so that they can peel after they are blanched.

Love bug.

The other day he told me he wished he was a girl so he could be a mommy and have babies. :)

Tradition

Our only real tradition together is to go to the apple orchard. We have gone every year since we moved to Minnesota. In fact, we stopped unpacking long enough to take baby Brayden and introduce him to his first apple. We kept it up with Jack. This year it was Charlotte's turn, and just like her brothers, her toothless little self fell in love with the apple orchard apple. We had some wonderful company this year, too.

Charlotte has her daddy totally, completely wrapped around her little finger.

At five months we were watching for signs of crawling from her. She was SO fast doing the army crawl.

Thankfully, she waited until her 7 month birthday to actually transition to crawling.

Now, on her 8 month birthday, she is holding onto furniture and taking steps.

She surprises us every day.

Baby C's Dedication

Charlotte was dedicated in September. Her god parents are Aunt Trisha and Aunt Chrissy.

It was a very sweet, emotional dedication. Charlotte, whose birthday was very eventful, was dedicated at on the same day as the twins who were born a few months early. We spent several weeks praying for them and it was so powerful that to be dedicated at the same time.

After each service Pastor Keith walks down the aisle and blesses us each with a prayer. It is this prayer that I look forward to each Sunday, and the main reason we chose Riverwood to call home.

Aunt Trisha and Aunt Chrissy gifted baby Charlotte with a precious moments figure that was inspired by that blessing. I love those mysterious moments that are so clearly guided by the Lord's hand.
